Saint Laurent 90s Revival

Yes, we already know that the '90s are back in full swing. I mean, the '90s were 20 years ago. It honestly is crazy for me to think about that because it feels like ten years ago and I'm convinced that it always will... Yes, I think that means I'm finally getting the idea of being old.

Luckily, I'm not the only one reminiscing about the glory days of grunge, plaid, and platforms you might just be convicted of "dangerous driving, criminal damage, flying a bus without a license, and frightening the pigeons" in. Yep, that was a completely intentional quote from Spice World which I have proudly re-watched in the past 12 months. Saint Laurent is featuring '90s icons: Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon, and Ariel Pink for the brand's Fall 2013 campaign.

While the collection might not be as rad as the faded, rainbow tie dye shirt I rocked as a kid with yellow  spandex shorts and full on beaded corn rows, there is ample California grunge in the form of leather jackets, plaid, mesh, tiny floral print, and let's not forget the leather mini skirt. Totally, completely, almost key as the combat-inspired boots.

What do I say to this revival? "I like free gowns." Thank you Courtney Love for that fabulous quote and your new clothing line.
