Valentina Schlee

I've been reading about the Ballet Russes, so when the name Valentina came up on Style.com, my curiosity got piqued. Needless to say, she was a dancer from Russia, yet also a revolutionary style icon who sold her New York Based fashion designs off of her iconic looks. She was a minimalist of sorts and believed in couture yet comfort.

An old NY Times article here.
