I'm Listening

Do you ever feel like you're completely displaced from your own body? It's almost like you're watching a movie and that main character happens to be you living in an out of body experience. I had an evening like that. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be more grounded and push out a DIY or maybe I'll post a new recipe for you guys. Currently my sanity is being kept via the sole action of running. But hey, enjoy the music and keep on listening. :)

During the school year I live in Pittsburgh, and honestly, this place just loves precipitation. If it's not raining, it's snowing, hailing, sleeting, ice-ing... or the humidity is going off the charts. Rain boots are only cute if you don't have to wear them 4 out of the 7 days of the week. So if you haven't guessed, it rained again today. No new accessories today. I decided to hold off for a few days. Haha.

I also really need to get a handle on what's in my closet. I have so many things that I hate to admit that I'm never going to wear. For some reason I have a really hard time parting with items that I have worn once-- or even never. I keep telling myself that I could wear it... blah blah blah. Really gotta take stock. :(

So apparently I post a lot of photos on my blog because my Picasa album for this blog totally filled up and they won't let me upload any photos to that album anymore. So a new album it is. :)



Speaking of albums, if you haven't listened to the American collaboration The Dead Weather, you really should get on that. Think Alison Mosshart's smokey/scratchy LP record voice from The Kills + The White Stripes + a little bit of Queens of the Stone Age. Um, amazing much?

And for those who have a nail polish obsession (I know I do from time to time), there's a new LA based cosmetic group on the prowl: RGB. Their nail polish is as modern as it is classic. I can't wait to get my hands on a bottle (or three... the Pre-Fall collection please!), but it seems as if the only stores that sell RGB are in California. Boohoo.



I guess I'll have to find it on ebay or something. Oh yeah, I'll be selling some used shoes in a few days. So stayed tuned in to Royal-Tee!
